Peter Ordower has practiced law since 1980. He has been selected by his peers as a Leading American Lawyer in commercial litigation, has received the highest ratings for legal knowledge and ethics for more than 25 years, and multiple Client Distinction Awards for excellent client service. The National Institute for Trial Advocacy has designated him as a Master Advocate.

 

Prior to starting his own practice, he was a partner at a national litigation firm concentrating in class actions and mass actions. He has also served as an associate, counsel, local counsel and co-counsel to numerous firms. He has tried cases in state and federal courts and represented parties before courts of appeal, administrative agencies, and regulatory bodies such as the Illinois Department of Human Rights, the Internal Revenue Service, and the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. He graduated from the University of Chicago Law School, holds a Master in Business Administration degree from the Loyola University Graduate School of Business and a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois. He has also been trained in mediation at the Depaul University School of Law, the Chicago Bar Association and the Center for Conflict Resolution. He is an arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the National Futures Association and the Circuit Court of Cook County, and a mediator for the Circuit Court of Cook County and the Chicago Bar Association. 

 

He has represented manufacturers, retailers, contractors, real estate developers, entertainment and transportation companies, restaurants, homeowners associations, attorneys, accountants, physicians and many other individuals and businesses. He is a member of the Chicago and Illinois Bar Associations. During his career, he has collected millions of dollars for clients.
